Car1Christine!  She left the 3000th comment to m'blog and I love it.  It just seems right because of her comment on a post featuring Kt's car way back here and because she posts the most beautiful flower pics and because I just smiled every time I thought "a pox on whoever..." yesterday and because of red hair!  Honestly, her daughter looks so much like Kt -- she can get a sneak peek at the future and I can look back in time, right here on the ol' internet.  If you'd like to send me your address, Christine, I might have a little something along the lines of a prize that I could send your way...

I just want to clarify that Kt's car IS insured, just not for this type of thing.

It's still Socktoberfest!  I turned a heel last night and will have plenty of time in a waiting room today to continue working on a foot.  These ought to be finished by the end of the month and then I can start on mittens for Sandy's Warm Hands -- you may have noticed the button added to the sidebar last week.  I haven't decided on a pattern yet, but am thinking Estonian or Latvian (though I don't recall anything chicken-y as a design element, Sandy!); leaning toward Latvian.  Wondering if I have suitable yarn in stash.

It happened to be on the way, so I stopped by the LYS on the way home last night for some Lamb's Pride Worsted with yesterday's Christmas list in mind.  Besides M*c's Weasley and Mom's shrug, I think I'll definitely do the felted clogs and Mdd's hat.  If I have time for more than that, fine.  I don't want to end up in crazy Christmas knitter mode... slap me if you see that happening, okay?

Awww, I wanted to be the 3000th...congratulations on reaching that milestone!

Sorry to hear about daughter's car. You have to wonder what gets into people when they will do such willful destruction. Hope you can get it repaired.

Is it cold up in Wisconsin yet? We're in the high 30s here at night. I'm not ready.

Plus, Kidsilk Haze? Arrrrrgh. I've tried starting River in the the Rowan magazine THREE TIMES and I still haven't got it right. Have you tried knitting with that yarn yet? Just wondering if I'm the only one that is not loving it.

Crazy Christmas Knitter Mode! I love it. There ought to be a 12 step program for that. Although, this year, I'm only knitting ONE Christmas present. Yup. ONE.

LOVE the car! I'm so sorry for Katie - is she feeling better about it?

I want mittens too! Only big fluffy handspun mittens for me.

Yeah, erm, about that chicken comment, I plead exhaustion. Or craziness, either way! :) There was a LOT of people. And how many times can you say that they are knitting mittens? Hmm? Really.

Hope DH's colonoscopy went well - the preparation is umm interesting.... Glad to hear the car stuff can be fixed ok.

Y'know, I haven't been reading blogs lately (like only my Katy's and my sister in law's) so I somehow missed the little fact that you were up to your 3000th comment. And you left such a sweet comment on my blog and never bragged or nothin'.

I've just gotta get back to my regular reading. I've lost touch with all my very most favorite special knitbloggers. I'm sorry. I've missed you.
