Breaking records
Three days, three broken things.
- Sunday, a tall drinking glass while unloading the dishwasher -- one of those that breaks like safety glass -- right into the dishwasher. (The second time I've done that.)
- Monday, the laundry basket bumped the stack of cookie sheets and drying racks on the stove which knocked a large glass-jar candle and a big glass jar full of utensils over the other side.
- Tuesday, a small drinking glass of the variety mentioned above -- thankfully, only on the floor this time.
It might be time to buy new drinking glasses, as the supply is beginning to get low. I'm not usually such a klutz.
Today, we may break a temperature record -- the record is 91F, the prediction is low-90s.
I saw Maddy briefly yesterday after her first day of school. I asked how her day went and she, a high school junior, replied, "AWESOME! I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!" You've gotta know how that makes me feel (AWESOME!).
I have plastic glasses for that very reason...I'm a klutz. Smith does the dishes for that reason, too. We are in the low 60s after a major storm last night and it feels so good. Sorry you now have our heat.

You must try to be more careful. :-)

90s?! Stay inside!! Like Margene, I don't do dishes because of my klutziness either, it's safer for everyone involved.
Oh, and your sweater is lovely! Awesome, even.

We use plastic glasses normally. If company is over we get out the good stuff. ;)
That is great that she is so excited about school. Hopefully she will keep that attitude all year.

That's the universe's way of saying, "Less housework, more knitting!"

Hmmmm - you don't say in either case what was in the drinking glasses?? Are you hiding something from us? Glad to here about MAddie's first day of school. I got an "S'OK".

I'm pretty klutzy, every breakable thing has a chip or something in it. In the meantime, I am with Tipper. And stay away from my house, two of us could do some real damage.

I hope you're wearing your shoes around the house! This sort of thing seems to come in phases, no?

"Disasters" - even as minor as breaking glasses/dishes - happen in threes.
So now you are "good to go" to start knitting any incredibly complicated knitting pattern you want.
