I'll just put this right here...
3TT: The stuff of life

Unraveled Wednesday

It's been a while!

I picked up my knitting needles last night for the first time in weeks and cast on a new project! I knew the minute I saw it that the Cockleshell Cardigan from the new MDK Field Guide would have to be made. From the looks of things, I'm going to have enough yarn to make one for each of my granddaughters!

The knitting & construction are pretty cool, knit in two pieces from the cuff to the center and then joined/seamed in the back with a 3-needle bind-off. I'm knitting the largest size, using Cascade 128 Superwash, and that was last night's progress (with a few breaks so I don't overdo it).

It's gonna be a quick one!

I love the sleeve/cuff detail.

My book club is going on a field trip this weekend to Door County and I thought this would be a good project to bring along!

I finished the Alabama Chanin Fingerless Gloves. And, this afternoon, I will be binding Malina's quilt! I'm so excited.

Oh my goodness, the reading. Since last we met, I finished listening to Mustard Seed... and Sing, Unburied, Sing... and Wait Til Next Year! I am currently listening to Unfu*k Yourself. For some reason, Audible wasn't working on my phone for a few days but I was finally able to press PLAY yesterday! Onward. Prairie Fires: The American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder is still on my nightstand, but so too is The Thoughtful Dresser. Reading time has been SO limited.

Since you found audio books you've been ripping it up! The cardigans are going to be SO CUTE and perfect for your two little grrls!!

That sweater is adorable, especially on your adorable granddaughters! I listened to Unf*ck Yourself after I saw it on your list, and enjoyed the author's Scottish accent giving me the push I needed.

That sweater is adorable, it's going to be great for both girls! And hooray for a fun trip to Door County!

Looks like you haven't lost a (knitting) step! Great portable knitting project.

That sweater is just too adorable! And, matching girlie sweaters will be so perfect! I can't wait to see their pictures! And, you have some interesting books here... my library list is growing by leaps and bounds! :)

Ooh, the baby sweater! Just left a note on Kym's page about how much I'm craving yellows in 2018, then came upon this. Beautiful. Love the side-to-side construction, too.

That cardigan is so fun - and quick! I wonder how Gin will like having a sweater that matches Malina's? I'm preparing for cuteness overload :-)

Can’t wait myself to try the new Cockleshell Cardigan, please tell me how you think it fits on the wee Malina. I want to knit one for my coming grandson, though it will be summer when he arrives I am thinking a cooler version.
(How is your tendinitis? I’ve had a shoulder problem but have been able to knit, thank goodness.)
Reading time is so limited, but those audio books do so come to the rescue.
