Year In Review
Here we go again Year In Review!
I do it in words (the first sentence of the first post of each month) and in pictures (a favorite posted photo from each month) -- the two are not necessarily related.
I'm afraid I may have misled a few of you with my closing meme on New Year's Eve!
Yesterday was the official beginning of The 100 Day Project...
It was a long weekend for me, with Monday off this week... that always means a lot to share!
Kate will land in the UK a month from today!
We celebrated Ginny's 5th birthday yesterday!
It's a whirlwind!
June was really great, for the most part!
My dad died on Saturday night, just a couple weeks shy of his 86th birthday.
So other than these few words, it's gonna be a Wordless Wednesday!
How are we almost a week in already??
Lucky 13! Thirteen is also a Fibonacci number, a prime number, a star number, and a happy number (among other things, and thank you very much Wikipedia).
I had a few things to keep in mind as I planned our trip to the North Shore -- a weekend with no guests, work/teaching schedules -- but mostly, the opening of Rusty's New Island exhibit at the Trout Museum of Art in Appleton, WI, which he'd been pulling together for months.
I know I say it every year: I can't quite believe the year is almost over!
This year, like no other much like the one before: I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THIS YEAR IS OVER!!! BURN! (Again!)
What a year... oy. But you had such great highlights! :)

Those are great photos and words that show there was a lot of good in a year that was pretty crappy. I'm cautiously optimistic for 2022, but at least we'll get to see gnomes, your creativity, and your grands!

Despite the problems that made this year much like the last, you've had a very busy year! Seeing your family adventures is pretty exciting!

The pix cheered me up as this year draws to a close. Thanks for sharing your life with us! I await 2022 with breath held-not sure it will be any better. Merry Christmas.

I can remember just starting the year and hoping that things would be so much better -- we had vaccines, after all, so surely this was the year we'd end pandemic, right? Some parts of it were better, but some were not. I hope there are more good moments than bad for all of us in 2022.
Merry Christmas!

Happy ALMOST the end of 2021!! I LOVE this post and can't get over how much the littles have grown ... in a year :-) I'm sending up all the good wishes that you'll be able to gather with your whole family - even if not all at once! - in 2022.
